IUS CONGRESS 2025

Intestinal Ultrasonography 2025, held on January 23 and 24, 2025, at the DIBIT 1 at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, brought together international specialists in the field of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases andintestinal ultrasound. The event, under the scientific direction of Mariangela Allocca, Emma Calabrese, and David Rubin and organized with the support of Materia Prima, was conducted entirely in English and was accredited for continuing medical education (CME).

The scientific program alternated between keynote lectures, multidisciplinary sessions, and live ultrasound demonstrations, providing an in-depth look at the use ofintestinal ultrasonography in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Particular attention was given to monitoring treatment response, evaluating stenosis and perianal disease, pediatric applications, scoring systems, and the integration of ultrasound with magnetic resonance imaging and endoscopy.

Thanks to Materia Prima’s expertise in organizing medical and scientific events and managing international faculty, Intestinal UltraSonography 2025 provided an important opportunity for professional development, discussion, and the exchange of the latest insights on the use of intestinal ultrasound in daily clinical practice.
